Stop Trend Hopping

If I look back at the last 3-4 years, I can see the following trends:

The problem with these trends is that they were all hot for a season, then fizzled out, usually because expectations rarely meet what actually happens. In fact often what happens is that these trends over-promise and under-deliver.

But there's another, more significant problem. When you're trying to create something in an industry that you don't know well, you'll get crushed by the people who came before. I'm a visitor in the Tools for Thought ecosystem, I don't actually use these tools extensively.

So what's my plan now? I'm going to pick a single type of sector/niche/ecosystem and really double down on it. I like Web3, because it's still early days and it feels like here I can provide true value. I'm genuinely interested in digital ownership and tokens.

I feel like I've been searching for something to focus on and build for the past 3-4 years, and I'm excited that I've finally found it.

It's time to build.
