40,000 Hours

Last week I joined a "newsletter mastermind", where 5-6 of us get together weekly to talk about our newsletters.

This reminded me of what I learned about Mr Beast and how he became big.

Every day he would hang out with 4-5 other YouTubers and they would talk about YouTube. They would obsess over it daily, spending 10-12 hours talking about YouTube. They did this for about 5 years.

That's roughly 40,000 hours of obsessing over YouTube.

It's a common rule that you need around 10,000 hours to master a subject (though there's many people that disagree with this rule).

So Mr Beast and his friends mastered YouTube 4 times over. Now Beast is the most followed YouTuber in the world.

This makes me want to find 5-6 people who are also trying to start their own business, or to learn to code, or to write a newsletter etc. Where we can meet daily and just learn from each other.

First, I need to start releasing this newsletter, to prove that I belong in this group.
